"To my mother, to my father
It's your son or it's your daughter
Are my screams loud enough for you to hear me?
Should I turn this up for you?"
The sounds of "For You" by Staind blasted through the arena as Stephanie stormed out from the back and down the ramp. Barely registering the cheers of the crowd she climbed into the ring and paced for a minute before signaling for a microphone. Once it was handed to her, and the crowd died down some, she began speaking.
"How do you like my new music? It seemed appropriate for some reason." Stephanie grinned cruelly. "Mom, dad, no matter how loud I screamed, you never seemed to hear me. So I've decided to turn it up for you."
"The silence is what kills me
I need someone here to help me
But you don't know how to listen
And let me make my decisions"
As the strains of the song echoed through the arena again, five people appeared at the top of the ramp. Seeing the five standing united, the crowd once again became deafening with excitement. The music continued to play as the five men made their way down to the ring, the first four taking sentry at a corner each, and the fifth climbing into the ring to join Stephanie.
A satisfied smirk rested on her features as she once again quoted the song's lyrics to make her point. "Mommy... daddy... you don't know how to listen. You won't let me make my decisions. So I got someone, or rather a few someones, here to help me." She handed the microphone over to the blonde who'd joined her in the ring.
He smiled at her in thanks before his features turned hard and he began. "You know, for the past couple years, things have gotten steadily worse here in the WWF. I blame this completely on Vince McMahon, his wife Linda, and the rest of the Corporate Ministry. Well, I'm tired of it. No... we're tired of it. Stephanie got word to each of us, and we met so she could give us a proposal. The five of us have been ambushed, and beaten, by your little minions time and again. We've fought back separately, even helped each other when things got too bad, but we've never really been united. What we've needed is to be united. It took Stephanie to pull it all together."
He handed the microphone back to Steph, who took it and continued. "I gathered these five men. The best. The only ones I thought had a chance at taking on what I've got planned. They agreed to help me, and the six of us will take on, and take down, the Corporate Ministry."
The crowd broke into loud cheers, and she waited for them to die down a little before going on. "Dad, Mom, all the rest of you assholes in the Corporate Ministry, we have one thing to say to you: Win if you can; survive if we let you. We are the Forsaken, and you'll need a whole hell of a lot more than luck to survive us." With that, Stephanie dropped the microphone to the mat with a thud and their music started up again.
"All your insults and your curses
Make me feel like I'm not a person
And I feel like I am nothing
But you made me so do something
Cause I'm fucked up because you are
Need attention -- attention you couldn't give"
The fans continued to cheer as the blonde helped Stephanie from the ring and they began heading up the ramp, the four other men following them in silence. When they reached the top of the ramp, they paused and turned to face the audience one last time. Linking hands, they raised them high into the air in triumph. Rob Van Dam, Kane, Chris Jericho, Stephanie McMahon, Edge, and Christian.
The Forsaken.
"I sit here locked inside my head
Remembering everything you've said
This silence gets us nowhere
Gets us nowhere way too fast"
