Summary: Chris happens to stumble upon the same site as Stephanie. **Ok this sucks but I tried my best!
Chris sat in the bar alone, nursing his rum and coke. He had a lot of thoughts running through his head and he thought a drink might help to clear his mind, unfortunately, it hadn't helped. He didn't know what his problem was. Well he had an idea of what it was but that was something he didn't care to think of at the moment.
"Damn Stephanie," He muttered to himself, taking a swig of his drink. He didn't know why he was even thinking of her, it's not like they were even friends, merely work acquaintances. There was just something about her that appealed to him, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Was it her screechy voice? Or maybe it was the sneer she had perfected when looking in his direction while they were in front of the cameras. He didn't know what it was, but it was something. He couldn't be developing feelings toward her, could he? Nah, he shook his head. No way was he going to fall for Stephanie McMahon.
He quickly finished his drink and set a few dollars down on the bar then headed up to his room. It had been a long day and he figured the best thing for him right now was to head straight to bed, then maybe these stupid feelings he was having would eventually subside. Once he got into his room, he shed his clothes and flopped down on the bed, wearing only his boxers. He flipped off the light, trying to get some much-needed rest. After what seemed like hours of tossing and turning he flipped the light back on, muttering and cursing to himself.
"Looks like I'm not going to be getting much rest tonight." He sighed, reaching for his laptop. Sometimes, surfing the net in the middle of the night helped ease his insomnia. He turned it on, signing on to the Internet.
"Let's see what my loyal Jerichoholics have been up to." He said, heading over to yahoo.com and typing in his name. The search brought up numerous results and he scrolled through them till the name 'Smoochy Dreams' caught his eye. "What the hell is this?" As the site loaded up the first thing he saw was the picture from King of The Ring, he and Steph in a full lip lock. His eyes widened, and he felt a flush come over his cheeks as he relived that moment in his mind. "This is definitely what I didn't want to see at 3 in the morning." He searched through the site, reading all it had to offer, shaking his head at their theories, his heart starting to beat harder at some of the fan fiction.
"They don't know how wrong they are." He said to himself, or did they? Wasn't he just wondering the same thing earlier? That maybe he really did have some feelings for Stephanie? He quickly shut down the laptop, setting it aside. "What do those people know? If I really had any feelings whatsoever for the billion dollar princess I would have done something about it by now." He shut the light off once again, sliding under the covers. Surfing the Internet obviously wasn't the best idea tonight. Now there was no way he was going to get to sleep, he rolled over, trying his best to drive the thoughts of Stephanie from his mind until he finally fell into a fitful sleep.
