She didn't know what she was doing here. She had been standing outside his hotel room door for almost two minutes. She wanted to knock, and almost did several times, but something was holding her back. Maybe she was just lonely. Hunter didn't seem to care what she did as long as she stayed out of his business. `You're just horny' she told herself. She turned to walk away and was stopped by the sound of his door opening.
"Steph, what are you doing standing out in the hallway, get in here!" He pulled her in his room and watched her. "What's wrong, did something happen?"
"No, I was just..well, bored." She said with a smile. He chuckled and nodded. "I can go if you're tired Chris."
"Nah, I live by the Rock N Roll lifestyle, late to bed, late to rise." He smirks and motions toward the TV. "Besides, there's a Halloween marathon on tonight, and I am a horror buff."
"Halloween, that's Michael Myers, right?" She asked as she sat down beside him on the couch. He handed her a bowl of popcorn and a long neck bottle of Bud Light.
"Yup, and Jamie Lee Curtis." He took a sip of the beer and peered over at her, she seemed engrossed at the movie, jumping slightly as Michael slashed some guys throat.
"This is so violent." She whispered, stuffing some popcorn in her mouth.
"Violent?" Chris laughed and shook his head. "When we blade it looks more real than this shit."
During the course of the movie, Stephanie had somehow managed to scoot closer and closer to Chris. He noticed, but didn't care really, the company was good, and the fact that it was female company was even better. Every time someone got either decapitated or cut open she would jump and grab onto his arm. He finally got the nerve to put his arm across her shoulder. Stephanie snuggled into his embrace and laid her head on his chest. Chris didn't know how long they stayed like that, and truthfully he didn't care. He used his thumb to gently rub her shoulder, and he was sure that she could feel his heart pounding in his chest.
Stephanie loved being this close to him. She couldn't understand it, was this the same person that for months had been calling her a dirty, disgusting, skanky, bottom feeding, trashbag ho? She tilted her head and looked up at him. He was watching television, absently stroking her arm. She knew if she stayed that things might get carried away, or at least she hoped that they would. She sighed and raised up, noticing that his arm flew away from her. "It's getting late, I should go."
"Oh, alright, um, thanks for stopping by." He stood up and held out his hand for her. She took it and together, hand in hand they walked toward the door. "Um, Steph, why does it feel like..well, I don't know, we just got through going on a first date?"
Stephanie chuckled and squeezed his hand. "Well, I wouldn't say first date, because I usually don't do this." With that statement Stephanie leaned forward and kissed his lips softly. Chris was pleasantly surprised, and kissed her back, albeit briefly. She pulled away and bit her lip. "Goodnight Chris."
He smiled happily at her and let go of her hand as she walked out the door. "Goodnight Steph." Chris walked back into his room a happy man. She had kissed him. Granted, it wasn't their first kiss, that would have been King of the Ring 2000. That wasn't really a kiss though, he just wanted to show her there, but here, she had kissed him! He shook his head in disbelief and walked over to the bed, he used the remote to turn off the television as he crawled under the covers. His last thoughts were on Stephanie, and her soft lips pressed against his.
